Huge drops are starting. I had planned on Santa Rosa or even farther, but will stop for the night in Tucumcari. WX channed on the wing is telling me sever storms. 1.5 inch hail and damaging winds. The local radio is telling me I-40 is closed between here and Albuquerque due to wind blowing trucks over, and also dust storms causing no visibility. It's still 93 degrees. Sure didn't get as far as planned. I'm going out and take a picture for the sky now. My first time in a Micromotel, I don't like it. Tiny room, expensive, no awning to park under, and a grouchy old lady on the desk. But.....any port in a storm!
