A while after sunrise, Redding, California. This is the last short leg of my trip home. If you keep looking at the posts, you'll see I'm not home yet.

It's early on Thrusday. Just a quick stop north of Redding to put on a heavier shirt.

Since before WW2, Nothern Cal has been wanting to become their own state. A popular movenemt once, now sort of a novelty. They do have a websiet if anyone is intereted.

Klamath river in Northern Cal. There is stil a lot of Gold mining taking place along the Klamath, as well as Sport Salmon fishing near the coast at Klamath, California

Thee are many farms and small ranches in N. Cal and S. Oregon..

This is the sign I've been waiting for. Home again.

Down hill from here. Only 4 more mountain passes to get over before heading west.

Immigrant Lake, This was a dry lake when I grew up about 50 miles from here. There was an AMA sanctions flat track there, also was used for midget race cars. I spent many Saturdays and Sundays here watching my brother race his bikes and cars. He was 8 years older than me, and didn't mind my tagging along too much. Good times,

Table Rock. Landmark for me to know I'm in famililar country. Last site of major indian battles from the Rogue Tribe. Lots of good memories from this area in my youth.

Beacon Hill, the Eastern side of Grants Pass in the Rogue Valley. This was my playground from a young age. Learned to hunt, camp, and had a lot of "firsts" on this old hill.

The NE Exit to Grants Pass, my home town. Was born in a shack in a plant nursery a few hundred yards from this post back in 1940. This area was part of the family homestead.

The way to a beautiful park on the Rogue River. In High School, we had out car club building out here. "The Rakes"

There had been light sprinkles along here, decided to pull over to fill my bug and put on the Frogg Toggs.

I used to come up here to hunt and fish when I was a teenager. Things have changed, but not too much. It's about 10 miles from where I lived in the 40's and 50's.

Decided this would be a good spot to put on rain gear.

Roseburg Forest Products, this is one of the largests lumber mills left in Southern Oregon. Near the I-5 junction to the Coast on Hwy 42.

Hwy 42. This is probably the last picture I took before the accident. Maybe 10 miles from Camas Valley, the accident was 10 miles on the West side of the Valley.

Ear damage from speaker probably. Left side of helmet and body landed first.

Karen and Preston came over the day after. Still pretty groggy here.

Three beautiful arrangements, All from VROC indivituals and maybe one collection. They are just perfect.

Pat took this last night, a week after the accident. Still in a lot of pain, but am able to move a little better. Lots of swelling here too.
